Vinícius Goes Barbosa de Souza , called Vinícius , (born April 15, 1991 in Curitiba , Paraná ) is a Brazilian football player . The right foot predominantly plays in the attacking midfield.

Career

Vinícius started his career in the youth teams of well-known clubs in his home region. So far, however, he has not been able to assert himself decisively as a regular player at any club, so that he changed teams more often in his young career.

Vinícius joined Atletico Paranaense in early 2016 . With this he played fifteen games in the A series , in which he scored a goal. In August he was loaned to Náutico Capibaribe , for whom he was already active in 2014. With Náutico he ran sixteen times in the B series , five times in the net. After the end of the season, the loan with Náutico was not extended. The club stated that Vinícius' salary was too high for this. One reason for this was the club's outstanding salary payments to the player from 2014. Vinícius had sued the club for payment. After his return to Atlético Paranaense he came to no more missions due to differences with the club management. At the end of May 2017, Vinícius switched to EC Bahia . With this club he received a contract until the end of 2018. In his two years at Bahia Vinícius played 87 competitive games in which he scored 16 goals. After the contract expired, Vinícius moved to Atlético Mineiro . A contract was concluded with this until the end of 2020 with the option to extend it until the end of 2021.
