Vitaliy Zolotov

Vitaliy Zolotov (* 1980 in Dnipropetrovsk , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian jazz guitarist .

Zolotov studied at the Cologne University of Music from 2003 .

Zolotov worked a. a. with Dee Dee Bridgewater , Sara Gazarek , Frank Haunschild , Maxime Bender and Donny McCaslin . He is a member of the East Drive trio with Philipp Bardenberg and Bodek Janke , which has released four albums to date. In 2008 he was the winner of the Audience Award for Guitarists at the 42nd Montreux Jazz Festival .

In 2008 he founded his own Vitime Band (albums Vitime Band 1 , 2009 and Vitime Band 2 , 2016) and plays with musicians from the German jazz scene such as Rainer Böhm , Joscha Oetz , Bodek Janke, Timofei Birukov , Fedor Ruskuc and Terrence Ngassa . In the field of jazz he was involved in recordings by Oliver Lutz featuring Pablo Held , Triosence / Sara Gazarek ( Where Time Stands Still ) and by Bruno Böhmer Camacho .
