Vivento

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vivento is a service provider of Deutsche Telekom AG that offers outsourcing and project management as well as arranges specialist personnel for companies and authorities .

Vivento emerged from the Telekom personnel service agency by renaming in October 2003. The company, based in Bonn, has a nationwide presence.

Telekom's corporate mandate to Vivento is to ensure the qualification and new employment of staff that was cut in the course of group-wide rationalization measures. Since these so-called “clearings” do not involve dismissals , there is a need to either place the freed employees with other employers on a voluntary basis or to transfer them to new jobs using their own business models.

Reason for founding Vivento, according to a statement by the CEO of Deutsche Telekom AG René Obermann on April 19, 2007 on ZDF: “We founded Vivento years ago to give people who really had no long-term employment prospects a transition to other companies or to work as a service provider for other companies. That worked essentially successfully because many of them found work elsewhere. "

In April 2014 Vivento was renamed Telekom Placement Services within the group .

Vivento Technical Services GmbH

The Vivento Technical Services VTS in 2007 by Deutsche Telekom to the joint venture Nokia Siemens Networks sold NSN. On January 1, 2008, around 2000 employees transferred to the newly founded subsidiary Nokia Siemens Networks-Services NSN-S. In addition to the promised order guarantee from Telekom over a period of 5 years and a volume of approx. 300 million euros, Telekom gave another gift of another 500 million euros. The main business of NSN-S was the inspection of above-ground lines oi-L, which VTS had already received from Telekom in 2007. This losing business cost NSN-S its life a few years later. On December 5, 2012, the management of NSN-S (Nokia Siemens Networks Services) announced that it will close NSN-S on December 31, 2013. This was justified by the fact that the main business is no longer profitable, is loss-making and that the business area of NSN-S no longer belongs to the core business of Nokia-Siemens-Networks (parent company). 1200 employees lost their jobs. Some of them were able to return to Deutsche Telekom.

Vivento powers under civil service law

With Section 1 of the order on service law powers for the area of Deutsche Telekom AG (DTAGBefugAnO) of June 11, 2014, the Federal Ministry of Finance, on the proposal of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom AG, orders that the powers of a service authority below the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom AG can be transferred to the Telekom Placement Services operation. The powers of a superior below the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom AG can be transferred to the management of Telekom Placement Services.

With Section 5 of the order for the transfer of civil service authority and responsibilities for the area of Deutsche Telekom AG (DTAGÜbertrAnO) of August 21, 2013, Vivento was given the authority to control civil servants whose work posts have been discontinued or will be discontinued in the future to issue official instructions for personnel deployment, personnel deployment planning, further training and qualification including the preparation of appropriate personnel measures.

Complaints from employees

Those affected have argued that Telekom would “deport” its civil servants without consulting the works council and deploy them like temporary workers or retrain if there was no employment opportunity, so that there would no longer be any officially appropriate employment.

This implementation practice of Telekom was ruled unconstitutional by the Federal Administrative Court (BVerwG) with its judgment of September 18, 2008. The BVerwG ruled on June 22, 2006 that the transfer of a civil servant to Vivento is fundamentally illegal.
