Vivian Roese

Vivian Roese (* 1982 in Berlin as Vivian Büttner) is a German media scientist with a focus on media hype research. Under the pseudonym Vivian van der Spree she works as a singer, composer and lyricist.

Life

From 2003 to 2013 Roese studied cultural studies , intercultural communication , media studies , law and business administration at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt / Oder , Budapest and Poznań . After a bachelor's degree in cultural studies and a master's in intercultural communication, Roese received his doctorate in 2013 . In her doctoral thesis she examined the virality of the flower pot hype in social media . She further specialized in online virality, internet phenomena, shareable content and social media journalism as a freelance editor and social media consultant in social media marketing .

In 2009 and 2012 Vivian van der Spree was on tour in France, including an invitation to a concert for a film festival in Brest .

Since then she has given guest lectures, among others at the University of Münster , FU Berlin , HTW Berlin , also as a speaker , for example at Expo Real 2018. Roese published her research from 2009 onwards. A. together with other media hype researchers such as Peter Vasterman , Charlotte Wien , Marcello Maneri , Annie Waldherr and Ik Jae Chung .

In 2013 Roese was nominated for the Women in Media Award from Axel Springer SE .

In 2016 she toured Germany to promote her album stories van der Spree . The album was CD of the week on Radio Cottbus .

In 2019 Roese founded the social media marketing agency Contentarchitekten and accepted a teaching position at HMKW Berlin as a lecturer in social media marketing .

Roese is married and lives in Berlin.

Vivian van der Spree founded and led bands of various genres since she was 17. Their styles range from rock, punk, pop, jazz, funk and soul. With the band Vivian & Die Lebowskis she began to publish her German songs in 2007. She only sings her own songs. In 2009 she began her solo career as Vivian van der Spree. Their style is often compared to Pe Werner , Annett Louisan , Clueso and Jule Neigel .
