Volvo FL7

In 1984 the medium-duty truck series Volvo FL7 , FL10 and FL12 was presented by Volvo Trucks for the first time. From 1985 the FL7 with 6598 cc displacement and the FL10 with 9607 cc Volvo diesel engines with a total weight between 19 and 42 tons were available throughout Europe. They offered between 230 and 318 hp and were also available with an anti-lock braking system . The FL10 was also available with a new Eurotrotter long-distance driver's cab with a high roof and double bed.

The Volvo FL also appeared in 1985 as a payload addition to the model range .

In the middle of 1990 there was a slight facelift and the FL7 received the new 6725 cm³ diesel engine Volvo D7C with 230–285 hp. For the FL10 there was a modernized 9.6-liter diesel engine with now 320-360 hp. As the top model in the series, Volvo introduced the FL12 with a 12,130 cm³ diesel engine and 380–420 hp. Various gearboxes and axle ratios were available, which meant that versions for heavy haulage could also be offered as the Volvo FL10H and Volvo FL12H.

In 1998 the series was replaced by the Volvo FM .
