Vredeber Albrecht (* 1973 in Bremen ) is a German musician, composer and music producer.

Life

From 1996 to 1999 Albrecht was co-operator of the galerie berlintokyo , a scene meeting place in the center of Berlin where exhibitions as well as concerts and club evenings took place.

Together with the singer Elke Brauweiler , he first recorded some sampler contributions and singles under the project name Commercial Breakup , then the CD Global Player (released in 2000 on Ladomat 2000 ). The New Order cover version, Bizarre Love Triangle , was released as a single and stayed in the German charts for a few weeks. Appearances in Spain and a Germany tour with a band (with Brauweiler, drummer Christoph Hein and DJ Jack Tennis) followed.

In 2001 Albrecht joined the band Paincake - whose other members were the Japanese artist Hanayo , Dirk Dresselhaus and Christopher Uhe . Paincake played a few concerts in Germany and France stylistically moved at the intersection of noise and performance .

In 2003 Albrecht became the keyboardist of the Blumfeld group (around singer, guitarist and songwriter Jochen Distelmeyer ), one of the most influential German-speaking pop bands, with whom he played around 100 concerts until the end of 2004.

Albrecht produced another album under the project name Commercial Breakup , which he recorded with various female singers. Candied Radio was released with three single releases in 2004 on Mute Records .

In 2005 Albrecht recorded their last album with Blumfeld in the Hamburg O-Ton-Studio . Forbidden fruits appeared in 2006 by Sony / BMG . Extensive tours followed until the band ended in 2007.

In addition to the production of radio plays, Albrecht composed theater music for the Berlin Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz , the Schauspielhaus Hannover , the Heimathafen Neukölln , the Saarland State Theater Saarbrücken , the Theater an der Parkaue, Berlin and the Staatsschauspiel Dresden .

As a producer, musician or remixer Albrecht u. a. for data center , Stereo Total , Lexy & K-Paul , Ragazzi , Deichkind and Louie Austen .

In 2017 Albrecht released the album "The Same Inside" together with Lars Precht as mESMO on the Berlin label Staatsakt . The singers here include Pascal Finkenauer , Zwanie Jonson , Dirk von Lowtzow , Nicolai von Schweder-Schreiner , Torsun Burkhardt , Justine Electra and Jens Friebe .
