The steam locomotives "BRUNN" and "GUMPOLDSKIRCHEN" were passenger locomotives of the Vienna – Raaber (Gloggnitzer) Eisenbahn (WRB).

John Haswell , the manager of the WRB machine works, later the StEG locomotive works , immediately used the new Stephenson gate control in these two machines in 1843 .

The "GUMPOLDSKIRCHEN" had a serious accident on May 1st, 1845 . Haswell then converted it into a 1A1 long boiler type, using parts from other exploded machines. Which locomotives are involved is not uniformly clarified in the literature. The rebuilt machine was given the name "MEIDLING" and came to the Eastern State Railroad in 1856 together with the "HÖLLENTHAL" and "NEUNKIRCHEN" and with the "SCHOTTWIEN" , where it was given the new name "SLOTWINA". From there it seems to have come to the CLB when the Eastern State Railway was taken over by the Galizische Carl Ludwig-Bahn (CLB).

The "BRUNN" came to the Southern State Railway in 1853 and was retired in 1858 .
