The constituency no. 7 ( Polish okręg wyborczy nr 7 ) is since 2011 existing constituency for the election of the Senate of the Republic of Poland and was based on the wyborczy Kodeks of January 5, 2011 (Journal of Laws 2011 nr 21 poz. 112) built. The area of ​​constituency no.7 was previously part of constituency no.3 . The first election that took place in the constituency was the general election on October 9, 2011 .

Parliamentary election 2011

The election took place on October 9, 2011.

Of the three incumbent senators of the former constituency No. 3, all Platforma Obywatelska, all ran in the 2011 parliamentary elections: Władysław Sidorowicz , Minister for Health and Social Affairs in the Bielecki cabinet and senator in his second term, ran unsuccessfully for the Sejm in the constituency No. 3 . Leon Kieres , senator in the fourth and seventh electoral terms , ran against Kornel Morawiecki and Jarosław Obremski in constituency no. 8 , but lost to Obremski in the end. Jarosław Duda, a member of the Sejm between 2004 and 2007 and a senator in his first term, started in constituency no. 6 and was able to defend his mandate there.

Three candidates ran in the constituency who had not previously held a high political office. Alicja Chybicka, doctor and professor at the Medical University of Wroclaw , prevailed against the former university rectors Tadeusz Luty ( Technical University of Wroclaw ) and Marek Dyżewski ( Music Academy of Wroclaw ).

The election took place on October 25, 2015.

Alicja Chybicka did not run for re-election, but successfully applied for a mandate for the Sejm in constituency No. 3 . Barbara Zdrojewska, chairwoman of the Wroclaw City Council (2006–2010) and the Sejmik of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship (2010–2014), prevailed against Krzysztof Grzelczyk, Voivode of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship from 2005 to 2007.
