Walentyna Smijewska Dawidowa ( Ukrainian Валентина Змієвська Давыдова , English transcription : Valentyna Zmiyevska Davidova; born August 25, 1987 in Zaporizhia , USSR ) is a Ukrainian beach volleyball player .

Career

Dawidowa played her first international tournaments in 2006 in the CEV series with Olha Schossan ; at the Masters in Alanya , Hamburg and Moscow there were 21st and 29th places. In 2007 Dawidowa first took part in the FIVB World Tour at the Warsaw Open with Natalja Schumejko . At the satellite tournament in San Sebastián and the Challenger in Eboli , Dawidowa / Shumejko came in 17th place before they were eliminated early at the Saint Petersburg Open. In addition, Dawidowa played with Karyna Ynosemzewa the CEV Masters in St. Pölten and Moscow that year .

In 2014 she won three national tournaments with Ksenyja Chekmarva in Kiev , Cherkassy and Odessa and came second in Kharkiv . The two Ukrainians finished ninth at the EEVZA (Eastern European Volleyball Zonal Association) tournament in Batumi .

In 2015 Dawidowa formed a new duo with Evhenyja Schypkowa . After two second places at the national tournaments in Prymorsk and Koropove , Dawidowa / Schypkowa were fifth in Batumi and fourth in Riga at the EEVZA tournaments . In between, they came 17th at the 2015 World Tour Antalya Open . They started the 2016 World Tour with double-digit results at the Open tournaments in Sochi and Antalya and a seventh place at the CEV satellite in Ankara . Then they won the four EEVZA tournaments in Moscow, Maladseschna , Jūrmala and Batumi as well as the satellite tournament in Vilnius . At the CEV Masters in Jūrmala they were fifth.

On the 2017 World Tour , Dawidowa / Schypkowa came ninth in the four-star tournament in Rio de Janeiro . After two 25th places in the three-star tournaments in Moscow and The Hague , they finished fifth in the CEV Masters in Baden . They finished the highest rated tournaments in Poreč and Gstaad in 17th place before they finished fifth again at the CEV Masters in Alanya . Using the world rankings, they qualified for the 2017 World Cup in Vienna .
