Walentyna Adamiwna Zerbe-Nessina ( Ukrainian Валентина Адамівна Цербе-Несіна even Валентина Адамівна Тсербе-Нессіна , Russian Валентина Адамовна Цербе-Несина even Валентина Адамовна Цербе-Нессина * 8. January 1969 in Zhytomyr in the same Oblast ) is a former Ukrainian Biathlete .

Walentyna Zerbe-Nessina made her debut in the 1994 World Cup at the individual race in Ruhpolding , where she finished 40th. A short time later she celebrated the greatest success of her career at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, where she surprisingly won the bronze medal in the sprint, beaten by only 1.2 seconds by Myriam Bédard and Swetlana Paramygina ; with the season she was fifth. Her bronze medal was the first ever Olympic medal for Ukraine. At world championships she was denied an individual medal, but she was able to win the bronze medal with the relay team in Ruhpolding in 1996 together with Tetjana Wodopjanowa , Olena Petrowa and Alena Subrylawa . In the following year she won another bronze medal together with Tetjana Vodopjanowa, Olena Petrowa and Alena Subrylawa in the team competition. Her best individual result at world championships was fifth in the individual race in 1995 . Until 1998 she competed in numerous World Cup races and was able to book a total of six top ten placements. She said goodbye to the World Cup in 1998 with a fifth place in the sprint in Hochfilzen . After that, Zerbe-Nessina occasionally competed in the European Biathlon Cup .

Zerbe-Nessina lives in Pryluky in Chernihiv Oblast . In February 2007 she completed her training at the National Academy of Public Administration as a Master of Public Administration and is vice-president of the football club "Europe" in Pryluky.
