Walpersdorf is a district of the Rednitzhembach community in the Roth district in Middle Franconia .

Geographical location

The village is located on the Mainbach , a left tributary of the Rednitz . In the village, the Otterbach flows into the Mainbach as a right tributary from the Brunnleite forest area to the south-west .

history

In the geographic statistical-topographical lexicon of Franconia (1804) the place is described as follows: "Walpersdorf, is half Ansbach and half Nuremberg, lies between Schwabach and Roth."

With the community edict at the beginning of the 19th century, Walpersdorf became a rural community , to which the places Igelsdorf , Untermainbach and Weihersmühle belonged. On January 1, 1972, this was incorporated into Rednitzhembach. On October 1st, part of Igelsdorf was incorporated into Schwabach .
