Walther Fuchs (lawyer)

Walther Kurt Fuchs (born August 27, 1891 in Murrhardt ; † September 5, 1982 ) was a Württemberg lawyer and was last president of the Württemberg-Baden Administrative Court in Stuttgart in 1956.

Life

The son of a high school professor studied law at the University of Tübingen and the University of Kiel from 1910 to 1914 . In 1910 he first joined the Tübingen Wingolf and later also the Kiel Wingolf .

During the First World War he passed the first higher judicial service examination in his military service. In 1919 he came to the Ulm District and Regional Court as a trainee lawyer. After passing the second state examination in 1922, he became a clerk at the Ulm Regional Office . In 1925 he moved to the Württemberg Ministry of the Interior, where he became a member of the government in 1926 . In 1931 he became head of the Oberamt Besigheim as Oberamtmann .

In 1933 he joined the NSDAP . From November 1, 1933, he headed the Heilbronn District Office , which was renamed the Heilbronn District Office in 1938 . In 1939 he moved to the authority of the Reich Protector for Bohemia and Moravia in Prague ; his successor as Heilbronn district administrator was Ernst Heubach . In occupied Czechoslovakia, Fuchs was employed as ministerial conductor until November 1941 as head of Department I of the Reich Protector (administration, justice, education), after which he was chairman of the board of the Prager Sparkasse until early 1944.

After the Second World War , Fuchs came to the Württemberg-Baden Administrative Court in Stuttgart, where he became President of the Senate in 1951 and President in June 1956. He retired in September 1956. Most recently he lived in Bad Waldsee .

Awards

In 1958 Walther Fuchs received the Great Federal Cross of Merit .
