Klaus Czernuska (born September 10, 1943 in Jägerndorf , Sudetenland ; † February 3, 2015 in Bad Wimpfen ) was a German graduate in administration and a local politician. From 1976 to 1989 he was mayor of Bad Wimpfen and 1989-2005 District Administrator of the district Heilbronn .

Life

After positions in the administrations of the universities of Heidelberg and Ulm and as head of administration at the Heilbad Wildbad , Czernuska was mayor of Bad Wimpfen from 1976 to 1989 . From 1989 to 2005, Czernuska, who was a member of the CDU, was Otto Widmaier's successor in the district of Heilbronn. After being re-elected in 1997, he did not run for a third term in 2005. His successor was Detlef Piepenburg .

He then worked as a consultant at Kaufland . In 2008 he switched to the Dieter Schwarz Foundation , owner of Kaufland , where he was the second managing director alongside Erhard Klotz for the two foundation projects Science Center Experimenta and AIM , a non-profit educational support company.

Klaus Czernuska was married. He had four children with his wife Hildegard.

Awards

In 2005, Klaus Czernuska received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon. Also in 2005 he received the Silver Medal of Honor from the Baden-Württemberg District Association.
