Coat of arms of the Ukrainian SSR
The coat of arms of the Ukrainian SSR existed from 1918/19 to 1991, at the time of the existence of the Ukrainian SSR as a republic of the Soviet Union .
A red star hovers over a red coat of arms , which is supposed to represent belonging to communism and the hand of the liberated person of the classless society. In the middle a hammer and sickle as a symbol for the communist state policy. A golden rising sun shining under hammer and sickle.
The coat of arms is enclosed by ears of wheat on the left and right .
The ears of wheat are covered in the lower part by a red ribbon. In the middle of the volume is in Ukrainian Українська PCP (full form Українська Радянська Соціалістична Республіка, Ukrajinska Radjanska Socialistichna Socialist Republic ! in Ukrainian ( Пролетарі всіх країн, єднайтеся! ) and Russian ( Пролетарии всех стран, соединяйтесь! ).
