Coat of arms of the Belarusian SSR
The coat of arms of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic was used in the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic from 1950 until the collapse of the Soviet Union . In 1995 it was replaced by the current coat of arms of Belarus .
The coat of arms of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic consisted in the background of a rising sun over a globe with long rays of sunshine. At the top there is a hammer with a sickle and a star. The latter three symbols represent communism . A woven banner made of wheat ears and flowers forms the edge of the coat of arms . On the ribbons on the edge of the coat of arms, in Belarusian and Russian , is the motto Workers of all countries, unite! ( Пролетарыі ўсіх краін, яднайцеся! / Пролетарии всех стран, соединяйтесь! )
