Wayne Bastrup

Wayne Bastrup (born January 12, 1976 in Port Townsend , Washington ) is an American actor and musician .

life and career

Wayne Bastrup comes from the US state Washington. He grew up as a middle child with a brother and sister in the small town of Sequim . As an introverted person, he was not interested in acting from a young age, but initially more in sports. He later developed an interest in art and was ultimately able to overcome his shyness. After graduating from school, he earned a master's degree in architecture from the University of Washington in addition to an acting degree . At first he also worked in this profession and initially only appeared in front of the camera in commercials and some independent films . Bastrup started playing the drums at the age of 16 after his mother died of cancer. He made his first appearance in front of the camera in 2006 in the short film Drafting Dimensions . In 2008 he founded the rock band Gunbunny in Seattle , for which he played drums and made several appearances along the west coast. From time to time the band members, who now all live in different countries, still get together and continue to make music. In 2009 he was cast in a guest role on the series Leverage , which was filmed in his Portland home . After the performance, he decided to leave the Northwest region and move to Los Angeles .

After moving to California, he appeared in the series Childrens Hospital , Awake , CSI: NY and The Mentalist , among others . In 2014 he was cast in a small role in the biopic Love & Mercy . He presented a year later in the science fiction film Terminator Genisys the younger version of of JK Simmons embodied Det O'Brien. , Represents 2,016 Bastrup stepped in. Clint Eastwood's movie Sully in the role of Brian Kelly on. This was followed by appearances in Angie Tribeca , LA's Finest and Love, Victor .

Bastrup is an activist for animal rights and also supports the Michael J. Fox Foundation to research and combat Parkinson's disease . He competed professionally in mountain bike races for over 15 years. He has been the father of a daughter since 2014.
