The Weilbach is a 14 km long right tributary of the Main in the Rhine-Main area . In the upper reaches also carries regional designation Kaser Bach (in topographic maps also Kassernbach written) and later, when he receives the Ardelgraben even Ardelbach called.
geography
course
The source is 400 meters above Langenhain in the Voraunus . The stream initially flows southwards, keeping the middle between Diedenbergen in the east and Wallau in the west. After crossing under the Bundesautobahn 66 just east of the Wiesbadener Kreuz junction, it turns to the southeast and crosses Elisabethenstrasse . About two kilometers further, it crosses the village of Weilbach . Near the Taunus Railway , it leaves the Main- Taunus foreland and reaches the Main valley of the Lower Main Plain . With that he loses almost all incline. The Ardelgraben reaches him from the left directly behind the railway underpass . From then on it flows in a south-westerly direction. Between Flörsheim and Eddersheim it bends to the left because the last 600 meters are contained in an artificially created channel and at the border between the Flörsheimer and Eddersheimer districts it is led to the Main almost at right angles .
