World Heritage Sites in Guinea

The World Heritage in Guinea (status 2017) includes a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guinea ratified the World Heritage Convention in 1979. The only World Heritage site to date was added to the World Heritage List in 1981 and has been on the Red List of World Heritage in Danger since 1992 .

The following table lists the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Guinea in chronological order according to the year of their inclusion in the World Heritage List (K - cultural heritage, N - natural heritage, K / N - mixed, (R) - on the Red List of World Heritage in Danger ).

155 Nature reserve in the Nimbabergen , contains with the Mont Richard-Molard or Mont Nimba the highest mountain of Guinea and the Ivory Coast with 1752 meters , which lies on the border between the two states. Political unrest and its effects, as well as the planned mining of iron ore in Guinea, threaten the existence of the park.

Tentative list

The sites that are intended for nomination for inclusion in the World Heritage List are entered in the tentative list . As of 2017, three sites are entered in the tentative list of Guinea, the last entry was made in 2001. The following table lists the sites in chronological order according to the year they were included in the tentative list.
