World Heritage in Benin

The World Heritage in Benin (as of 2017) includes two UNESCO World Heritage sites ; a world cultural heritage and a world natural heritage. Benin ratified the World Heritage Convention in 1982, and the first World Heritage sites were registered in 1985. The last site for the time being was registered in 2017.

World heritage sites

This table lists the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Benin in chronological order according to the year of their inclusion in the World Heritage List (K - cultural heritage, N - natural heritage, K / N - mixed, (R) - on the Red List of World Heritage in Danger ).

N 749 The site includes the Benin part of National Park W , which crosses borders in Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger , and Pendjari National Park . The section in Niger has also been a World Heritage Site since 1996, the section in Burkina Faso was added in 2017.
