World Heritage in Eswatini

Eswatini (until 2018: Swaziland ) ratified the World Heritage Convention in 2005. So far (as of 2020) no site in Eswatini has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage .

Tentative list

The sites that are intended for nomination for inclusion in the World Heritage List are entered in the tentative list . Currently (2020) one site is entered in the Eswatini tentative list, the entry was made in 2008. The following table lists the sites in chronological order according to the year of their inclusion in the tentative list (K - cultural heritage, N - natural heritage, K / N - mixed ).

2008 K 5421 The iron mine at Ngwenya is considered to be the oldest mine in the world. Early humans are said to have mined Roteisenstein here 42,000 years ago.
