World day

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A world day is intended to remind of international issues and current world problems. The first World Day was proclaimed by the United Nations (UN) on October 31, 1947 . Today there are more than 100 official world and international days of the UN and its sub-organizations.

In the age of globalization and the Internet, worldwide memorial days are gaining in importance. In addition to the UN, world days are increasingly being proclaimed by other organizations such as the Catholic Church (e.g. World Day of Social Communication ) and PR agencies .
