If you have colleagues, you don't need enemies is a drama by director Martin Enlen from 1995. Heino Ferch plays the main role of the software specialist Georg Meier, who is plagued not only by private problems.
action
Basically, Georg Meier is a renowned software developer who is professionally on the road to success. However, private problems plague him: his wife has divorced him and he hardly sees the two children that resulted from the marriage. Since his ex-wife is currently on further training, she has temporarily entrusted them to him again. This leads him to the realization that his professional activity, which is between bits and bytes, between interfaces and a world of hyperlinks, can only represent one side of his life. The other side that seems increasingly important to him is that of the caring father of his children.
It turns out that his ambitious boss, Mark Heller, was just waiting for a moment like this when his subordinate seems to be going through a minor dip. Furthermore, Heller is not convinced that computer programs that are developed in Germany have a chance on the international market: He already has in mind to enter into various partnerships with providers in the Chinese and American markets, which in his view are the better and can also offer the cheaper products. The power- and money-hungry Heller is also firmly convinced that working with international software groups could significantly increase his own profit margins.
In the further course of the action, software developer Georg falls in love with Sylvie, a former friend of Heller, of all people. Actually, Heller had planned to poison the working atmosphere in the entire department with Sylvie's help and to remove the entire department from the company, which in his eyes was only a loss.
Heller's plans initially work: Georg's secretary Helga Frühauf leaves the company. Furthermore, the entire workforce has already been frightened because nobody knows who it will hit next. Georg's future in the company is also at stake now.
That is the moment when Georg realizes the scope of the actions of his superior Heller and decides not to accept this approach any longer. Together with Sylvie he is planning a counterattack.

The specialist publisher Kino.de judges: “As early as 1995, author Gabriela Sperl implemented the still highly topical subject of bullying in a drama. Director Martin Enlen turned it into an exciting psychodrama. Lead actor Heino Ferch, on the other hand, was delighted with the role that was untypical for him. The actor, who subscribes to tough guys, was “finally able to play a weak loner who only recognizes the danger at the last moment”.
TV Spielfilm is of the opinion that the film is a nasty bullying crash course . The summary of the program guide is: “Teamwork is out, but bullying is in”.
