West Burke is a village in the town of Burke in Caledonia County of the state of Vermont in the United States with 343 inhabitants (according to the 2010 census). The Village West Burke is located in the northwest of Town Burke. To the west, the town of Sutton borders a tributary of the Passumpsic River flowing through the village.

history

Burke was proclaimed for settlement in 1780, but settlement did not start until 1792. In addition to the unincorporated Villages Burke Hollow and East Burke, West Burke was declared a incorporated village. In West Burke, the town's administration is located in the former Old School House . West Burke has access to Crystal Lake and Lake Willoughby and is a popular stop on the snowmobile route.
