The Westpfalz-Verkehrsverbund ( WVV ) was a special purpose association of the independent cities of Kaiserslautern , Pirmasens and Zweibrücken as well as the districts of Donnersbergkreis , Kaiserslautern , Kusel and Südwestpfalz , founded in order to ensure a uniform public transport tariff there.

The WVV was founded at the beginning of 2000, the association tariff applied from April 1, 2000. The West Palatinate Transport Association was the first association in which BahnCards of the Deutsche Bahn AG were recognized as discount cards.

On June 1, 2006, the eleven transport companies that had previously been part of the WVV joined the Rhein-Neckar transport association (VRN), which extended its tariff area to the entire Palatinate.
