In the list of German tariff and transport associations , all tariff and transport associations in the transport system in the Federal Republic of Germany are listed.
Baden-Württemberg
Since December 9, 2018, a special state tariff has been in effect in Baden-Württemberg, this so-called bwtarif acts as a roof tariff. It is also used on individual routes to neighboring federal states.

Bavaria
Overview: in Bavaria there are a total of twelve networks with regional rail integration and 25 without regional rail integration. Eight of these associations do not have a common tariff, they are only responsible for coordinating the timetables between the individual bus companies. However, this does not fully cover the Free State with alliances. Of the 71 districts and 25 independent cities in Bavaria, the following areas do not belong to any association: the districts of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen (except the communities Icking, Egling, Münsing, Eurasburg, Wolfratshausen, Geretsried, Königsdorf and Dietramszell), Berchtesgadener Land, Dillingen (except the area that used to belong to the former district of Wertingen), Dingolfing-Landau, Freyung-Grafenau, Kronach, Miesbach, Regen, Traunstein and Weilheim as well as the independent cities of Passau and Straubing.
The Salzburger Verkehrsverbund (SVV), which also operates in Bavaria, is not a German or Bavarian transport association. The SVV tariff is only used for cross-border journeys between the Berchtesgadener Land district and the Austrian state of Salzburg (or vice versa). In the Berchtesgadener Land district, on the other hand, there is neither a community tariff nor a transport association for timetable coordination.

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania there is only one district with the district of Vorpommern-Rügen without a transport association. However, there is only one transport company on Rügen, whose tariff applies to the entire island.
Special feature: the WestMecklenburgTarif (WMT), which was introduced on January 1, 2010 and dissolved again on December 31, 2013, functioned as a roof tariff with local rail transport integration, while the West Mecklenburg transport association tariff (without local rail transport integration) continued to exist in parallel.

Lower Saxony
Overview: The state of Lower Saxony is completely covered by transport associations with or without SPNV integration. In December 2019 Hildesheim was the last district to introduce a tariff association. On June 9, 2013, Lower Saxony introduced a regional tariff for local rail transport, which replaces the DB local transport tariff ( Lower Saxony tariff ).

North Rhine-Westphalia

In North Rhine-Westphalia, the NRW tariff applies to journeys across associations, but this is not a transport association, but a superordinate roof tariff .

The Verkehrsgemeinschaft Niederrhein merged with the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr on January 1st, 2012.
On August 1, 2017, the Westfalentarif replaced the Verkehrsgemeinschaft Ruhr-Lippe (Ruhr-Lippe-Tarif), the Verkehrsgemeinschaft Münsterland (Münsterland-Tarif), the Verkehrsgemeinschaft Westfalen-Süd , the local transport association Paderborn-Höxter (Hochstift-Tarif) and the OWL Verkehr GmbH (the six).
Rhineland-Palatinate
The state of Rhineland-Palatinate is completely covered by transport associations, there are no non-associated areas in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Special feature: The Anhalt-Bitterfeld-Wittenberg tariff ( ABW tariff ) is not a network tariff, but an additional roof tariff , which means that it is only used as an option to the existing tariffs. In addition, the ABW tariff only offers season tickets, but no single tickets.
