White Flag is a song by the British singer Dido from 2003. The song was released in the course of the release of the music album Life for Rent and reached number one in the charts in numerous countries, including Germany, Austria and Italy. It's about a seemingly failed love, with the protagonist trying not to give up on her love even though she thinks it's pointless.

A plot is told about a relationship that has ended, in which the protagonist Dido still cannot mentally detach herself from her ex-boyfriend, who is ignorant of it. You have various opportunities to get closer without the other noticing. In the end, they both return to their apartments, each of them filled with photos of the other person.

White Flag has been nominated for numerous awards, including the 2004 Grammy Awards for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. However, the award went to Christina Aguilera for the song Beautiful . In the same year Dido won the BRIT Award for best single with the song .
