Fatukopa is an Indonesian district ( Kecamatan ) in the west of the island of Timor .

The district is located in the northeast of the administrative district of South Central Timor (Timor Tengah Selatan) of the East Nusa Tenggara Province (Nusa Tenggara Timur) . In the west and in the south lies the district of East Amanuban (Amanuban Timur) and in the east of North Amanatun (Amanatun Utara) . In the northwest, Fatukopa borders on the administrative district of North Central Timor with its district of Ostnoimuti (Noimuti Timur) and in the northeast on the administrative district of Malaka with its district of Rinhat .
Fatukopa has an area of 65.59 km² and is divided into the seven Desa Fatukopa , Besnam , Taebone , Nunfutu , Nifulinah , Ello and Kiki . The administrative headquarters are in Nunfutu. While Nunfutu is 252 m above sea level , Tipa (Desa Fatukopa) is 467 m above sea level. As in Timor, the tropical climate is divided into a rainy and a dry season . January is the rainiest with 294.75 millimeters of precipitation per square meter. It doesn't rain in September or October. In 2017, there were 126 rainy days, with 874.97 millimeters of precipitation per square meter.

Residents
In 2017 there were 5,219 inhabitants in Fatukopa. 2,519 were men and 2,700 women. The population density was 80 people per square kilometer. There are three mosques, seven Catholic and 23 Protestant churches and chapels in the district.
Economy, infrastructure and transport
Most of the district's residents make a living from agriculture. Cattle (3,899), horses (23), pigs (3,020), goats (323) and chickens (7,907) are kept as pets. Maize is grown on 1,850 hectares, rice on 45 hectares, cassava on eight hectares and peanuts on seven hectares. Other agricultural products include carrots, chilli, tomatoes and beans as well as avocados, mangoes, tangerines, oranges, guavas, papayas, bananas and sirsak.
There are eight elementary schools and two middle schools in Fatukopa. Secondary school is missing. There is also only one community health center ( puskesmas ) in Nunfutu for medical care . There are no medical care centers ( Puskesmas Pembantu ) or midwifery centers ( Polindes ) in the other Desa, nor are there any doctors in the district. There are only five midwives and eight nurses.
