Noebana ( Indonesian Noebana ) is an Indonesian district ( Kecamatan ) in the west of the island of Timor .

The district is located in the east of the administrative district of South Central Timor (Timor Tengah Selatan) in the province of East Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Timur) . In the southwest is the district of South Amanatun (Amanatun Selatan) in the west Fautmolo , in the northwest East Amanuban (Amanuban Timur) , in the northeast North Amanatun (Amanatun Utara) and in the east Santian .
Noebana has an area of 49.63 km² and is divided into the five Desa | Suni , Noebana , Fatumnasi , Mella and Mnelapetu . The Desa are again divided into 15 Dusun (sub-villages). The administrative headquarters are in Noebana. While Fatumnasi is 415 m above sea level , Suni is 699 m above sea level. As in Timor, the tropical climate is divided into a rainy and a dry season .

Residents
In 2017, Noebana had a population of 4,906. 2,362 were men and 2,542 women. The population density was 99 people per square kilometer. There are eight Catholic and six Protestant churches and chapels in the district.
Economy, infrastructure and transport
Most of the district's residents make a living from agriculture. Cattle (1,302), pigs (767), goats (eight) and chickens (1,036) are kept as pets. Corn is grown on 1,255 hectares, rice on two hectares and cassava on 23 hectares. Other agricultural products include avocados, mangoes, papayas and bananas. Kapuk, cashews, areca nuts, coffee, cocoa, betel nuts and coconuts come from plantations.
There are seven elementary schools, one middle school and one secondary school in Noebana. Only one medical care center ( Puskesmas Pembantu ) is available for medical care . A community health center ( Puskesmas ) or midwifery centers ( Polindes ) are missing. There are no doctors in the district either, only seven midwives and four nurses.
Two retailers operate in the district. There are daily markets in Noebana, Fatumnnasi and Mella.
