Fatumnasi is an Indonesian district ( Kecamatan ) in the west of the island of Timor .

The district is located in the northwest of the administrative district of South Central Timor (Timor Tengah Selatan) of the East Nusa Tenggara Province (Nusa Tenggara Timur) . In the west is the Nunbena district , in the south North Molo (Molo Utara) and in the east Tobu . In the northwest, Fatumnasi borders on the government district of Kupang with its districts of Central Amfoang (Amfoang Tengah) and East Amfoang (Amfoang Timur) and in the northeast on the government district of North Central Timor (Timor Tengah Utara) with its district of Mutis .
Fatumnasi has an area of 198.65 km² and is divided into the five Desa Fatumnasi , Nenas , Nuapin , Kuannoel and Mutis . The Desas are divided into a total of 13 Dusun (sub-villages). The administrative headquarters are in Kuannoel. The district is located in the highlands of Timor. Nuapin is the lowest of the villages, with an altitude of 1208 m , Fatumnasi is the highest with 1751 m . As in Timor, the tropical climate is divided into a rainy and a dry season . Most of the rain falls in February while it does not rain in December. In 2016, a total of 1333 mm of precipitation was measured.

Residents
In 2017 there were 6,912 inhabitants in 1,590 households in Fatumnasi. 3,416 were men and 3,496 were women. The population density was 35 people per square kilometer.
Economy, infrastructure and transport
Most of the district's residents make a living from agriculture. Cattle (9,094), horses (488), buffalo (three), pigs (4,719), goats (249) and chickens (7588) are kept as pets. Corn is grown on 246 hectares, rice on 16 hectares, cassava on 62 hectares, sweet potatoes on 30 hectares, peanuts on three hectares and taro on six hectares. Other agricultural products include onions, garlic, leeks, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, beans, chilli, eggplants, avocados, mangoes, tangerines, papayas and bananas.
In Fatumnasi there are eight primary schools, two middle schools and one secondary school. A municipal health center ( Puskesmas ) and a medical care center ( Puskesmas Pembantu ) are available for medical care . There are four Catholic and 16 Protestant churches and chapels in the district.
