Oenino is an Indonesian district ( Kecamatan ) in the west of the island of Timor .

The district is located in the north of the administrative district of South Central Timor (Timor Tengah Selatan) of the East Nusa Tenggara Province (Nusa Tenggara Timur) . In the west lies the Central Molo (Molo Tengah) district , in the north Poland , in the east east Amanuban (Amanuban Timur) and in the south Kie , central Amanuban (Amanuban Tengah) and Kuatnana . In the northeast, Oenino borders on the administrative district of North Central Timor (Timor Utara Tengah) with its Noimuti district .
Oenino has an area of 154.96 km² and is divided into the seven Desa Neke , Nordpene , Noenoni , Hoi , Niki-Niki Un , Oenino and Abi . The Desa are again divided into a total of 19 Dusun (sub-villages). The administrative headquarters are in Oenino. While Abi is at an altitude of 307 m , Hoi and Neke are at an altitude of 588 m above sea level. As in Timor, the tropical climate is divided into a rainy and a dry season .

Residents
In 2017 there were 11,014 inhabitants in Oenino. 5,442 were men, 5,626 women. The population density was 71 people per square kilometer. There were five Catholic and 24 Protestant churches and chapels in the district.
Economy, infrastructure and transport
Most of the district's residents make a living from agriculture. Cattle (7,114), horses (three), buffaloes (two), pigs (6,525), goats (167) and chickens (13,604) are kept as pets. Corn is grown on 2,440 hectares, rice on 85 hectares and cassava on twelve hectares . Other agricultural products are chilli, avocados, mangoes, tangerines , jackfruits , guavas , papayas and bananas. Coconuts, pecans, kapok , cashews, betel nuts and cocoa come from plantations .
There are 13 primary schools and three middle schools in Oenino. There is a lack of secondary schools in the district. A community health center ( Puskesmas ), two medical care centers ( Puskesmas Pembantu ) and three midwifery centers ( Polindes ) are available for medical care .
