Fautmolo is an Indonesian district ( Kecamatan ) in the west of the island of Timor .

The district is located in the east of the administrative district of South Central Timor (Timor Tengah Selatan) in the province of East Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Timur) . In the north lies the district of East Amanuban (Amanuban Timur) , in the west and southwest Kie , in the southeast South Amanatun (Amanatun Selatan) and finally in the east Noebana .
Fautmolo has an area of 46.34 km² and is divided into the seven Desa Sillu , Oeleon , Kaeneno , Nunuhkniti , Beslau , Bileon and Tunis . The administrative headquarters are in Oeleon. The Desa are again divided into 16 Dusun (sub-villages). While Besleu is 502 m above sea level , Nunuhkniti is 767 m above sea level. As in Timor, the tropical climate is divided into a rainy and a dry season .

Residents
2017 lived in Fautmolo 7,728 inhabitants. 3,743 were men and 3,985 women. The population density was 167 people per square kilometer. There are five Catholic and twelve Protestant churches and chapels and four mosques in the district.
Economy, infrastructure and transport
Most of the district's residents make a living from agriculture. Cattle (2,278), buffaloes (two), pigs (2,188), goats (135) and chickens (6,248) are kept as pets. Corn is grown on 912 hectares, cassava on 25 hectares, mung beans on five hectares and soybeans on four hectares. Rice is not grown in the district. Other agricultural products include avocados, tangerines, papayas, bananas and jackfruits.
In Fautmolo there are ten primary schools, two middle schools and one secondary school. The medical facilities otherwise common in rural regions, such as communal health centers ( Puskesmas ), medical care centers ( Puskesmas Pembantu ) or midwifery centers ( Polindes ) are missing in Fautmolo. There is only one community relief center in Nunuhkniti in the district. There is a doctor, eight midwives and five nurses in the district.
