Wildenstein (noble family, Franconian Forest)
The von Wildenstein family is a traditional Franconian noble family in the Franconian Forest .
history
The Franconian von Wildenstein family is named after the current district of Wildenstein in the Presseck market in the Upper Franconian district of Kulmbach . In addition to Wildenstein Castle, the Wildenstein rule also included Presseck and Grafengehaig .
Like the von Berg , von Epprechtstein, von der Grün , von Münchberg, von Radeck , von Reitzenstein , von Sparnberg, von Stein , von Thoßfell and von Töpen families, the von Wildenstein families are considered to be a line of the Sack ministerial family, mentioned in 1091 . All of these families are therefore related to the tribe and coat of arms. The von Wildenstein family are related to the von Sparneck and Lüchau family.
coat of arms
The coat of arms shows a silver sloping bar on a red background. The crest consists of an open flight in which the sloping beam is repeated. The coat of arms of the former municipality of Marlesreuth reminds of the family.
Depiction in Siebmacher's coat of arms (1605)
Epitaph for Maria von Wildenstein , née von Woellwarth ; their birth coat of arms is similar to that of the von Wild family
