Wilhelm Hahn (Rector)

Wilhelm Gotthelf Heino Hahn (born August 4, 1844 in Lieberose , † 1914 in Stralsund ) was a German teacher.

Life

Hahn was the son of a court judge at the Graflich Schulenburg Patrimonial Court . Due to frequent transfers of his father, he first attended the educational institute Dr. Beheim-Schwarzbach in Ostrowo near Filehne , then the grammar school in Stargard and finally the grammar school in Königsberg in the Neumark . After graduating from high school , he studied philology at the University of Leipzig in 1864 , in Berlin and from 1866 at the University of Greifswald , where he was influenced as a teacher by Franz Bücheler . In 1867 he was in Greifswald with his dissertation scaenicae Quaestiones Plautinae Dr. phil. PhD . After the state examination in 1868 he entered the Prussian school service and initially worked at the secondary school in Halberstadt . At Easter 1870 he was transferred to the Stralsund grammar school , where he was sub- principal , later vice-principal and, from 1904 to 1913, principal of this institution. He published numerous philological small scripts that were published in the school programs of the Halberstadt secondary school and the Stralsund grammar school. In 1894, together with Rudolf Peppmüller , he compiled the register of Theodor Bergk's Greek literary history .
