Wilhelm Rohden

Wilhelm Rohden (born September 4, 1806 in Steinheim , † June 17, 1871 in Berlin ) was a German judge and a member of several German parliaments .

Life

Wilhelm Rohden studied law in Göttingen after graduating from the grammar school in Paderborn . In 1833 he became an assessor and worked in the Prussian judiciary. From 1840 to 1844 he was a judge in Burbach / Siegen , from 1844 to 1847 director of the regional court in Rheine in Westphalia, from 1847 to 1860 he was a judge at the court of appeal in Poznan and from 1860 to 1871 a member of the chamber judge in Berlin.

In 1848 Rohden was a member of the Prussian National Assembly in Berlin and in 1850 he was a member of the Erfurt Union Parliament . From 1849 to 1868 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and in 1852 co-founder of the Catholic parliamentary group .

In 1867 Rohden was a member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Münster 1 ( Tecklenburg , Steinfurt , Ahaus ). He belonged to the parliamentary group of the Free Association in the Reichstag . Rohden stood in opposition to Otto von Bismarck's policy , who advocated a small German solution under Prussian leadership, and voted no in the vote on the constitution of the North German Confederation.
