Wilhelm Alexander Karl Konrad von der Mülbe (born April 14, 1834 in Danzig , † April 10, 1909 in Berlin ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

Wilhelm was a son of the Prussian Colonel Ludwig von der Mülbe (1793–1877) and his wife Frederike Helene, born von Helden-Gowarczewski (1804–1890) from the Radomno family. His brother Otto Wilhelm Adolf (1829–1916) became a Prussian lieutenant general .

Military career

Mülbe joined the 5th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army on May 4, 1859 , where he was promoted to Second Lieutenant until November 1853 . In the period from October 1, 1858 to June 17, 1859, he attended the General War School . On September 1 of that year he was assigned as a regimental adjutant to the 5th Landwehr Infantry Regiment, before he came to the 5th Combined Infantry Regiment on July 1, 1860 in this function . There he was promoted to prime lieutenant on September 19, and after his promotion to captain on April 21, 1866, he took part in the war against Austria . On October 10, 1868, Mülbe was transferred to the Mecklenburg Fusilier Regiment No. 90 and took part in the war against France in 1870/71 , where he was wounded on December 8, 1870 in the Battle of Beaugency . Mülbe received the Iron Cross and the Mecklenburg Military Merit Cross, 2nd class, for his behavior .

On December 12th, 1874 he was appointed major and regular staff officer in the 3rd Westphalian Infantry Regiment No. 16 and on January 21st there was appointed commander of the 2nd Battalion. On September 16, 1882 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and on December 14, 1885, as a colonel under position à la suite, he took command of the Duke Braunschweig Infantry Regiment No. 92 . On April 15, 1886, he was officially placed there before he added, and on 16 February 1889 as a Major General to the officers of the army finally to May 22 of the year disposition was made. Mülbe married Alwine Widenmann (* 1838), widowed Schlink, from Düsseldorf on June 28, 1881. The marriage remained childless.
