Willi Marzok (born June 18, 1946 in Cologne ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The winger came for the 1965/66 season from Rheinkraft Neuss to Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Regionalliga West . In the 1965/66 season , the striker completed 24 games in which he scored seven goals. This year Marzok was part of the team that won the championship before Rot-Weiss Essen . Fortuna was headed by Kuno Klötzer as a trainer and the other newcomers with Waldemar Gerhardt , Werner Biskup , Gert Wünsche and Werner Jestremski contributed significantly to Fortuna's title win. On the start of the round, August 15, 1965, Marzok stood out as a two-time goalscorer in the 2-0 away win at Preußen Münster. Fortuna took part in the attack with Bernhard Steffen , Reinhold Straus , Peter Meyer , Waldemar Gerhardt and Marzok. In the following round of promotion, Fortuna prevailed against Kickers Offenbach , Hertha BSC and FK Pirmasens . Marzok stayed in Düsseldorf for another year; in the Bundesliga 1966/67 completed only three games because of the competition from Jürgen Koch and Hilmar Hoffer in the winger position and then moved to Holstein Kiel .

With Kiel he played from 1967/68 in the northern season of the Regionalliga, he completed 33 games in three rounds by 1970 and scored two goals. At Holstein he finished eighth in his first year in Kiel, 1967/68, with the storks under coach Rudolf Faßnacht and teammates such as Hans-Joachim Weller , Gerd Koll and Jürgen Wohlgemuth, and came in 22 league appearances with two goals. He stayed with Holstein until 1970, when he moved to his hometown for a year at VfR Neuss . Under player-coach Albert Brülls and alongside teammates like Klaus Schonz , Hans-Günter Neues and Hans-Werner Moors , he scored five goals in 26 appearances in 1970/71. Marzok then moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen within the Regionalliga West .

In his first season, 1971/72, he belonged to the regular cast with 24 games and three goals under coach Theo Kirchberg . Bayer finished eighth with players like Dieter Ferner , Burkhard Segler and Friedhelm Strzelczyk . In his second year in Leverkusen, the Bayer-Elf descended under coach Gero Bisanz in the amateur camp. In the two years at Leverkusen, he scored three goals in 36 games in the West Regional Football League until 1973 .
