William Pascal Kikoti

William Pascal Kikoti (born March 3, 1957 in Ihimbo, Nyabula, Iringa , Tanzania ; † August 28, 2012 in Mwanza , Tanzania) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Mpanda .

William Pascal Kikoti attended the minor seminar in Mafinga (1974/77) and in Nyegezi, Mwanza (1978/80). From 1982 to 1983 he studied philosophy at the seminary in Ntungamo and from 1983 to 1988 theology in Kipalapala . He received in on 29 June 1988 Iringa the priesthood . From 1989 to 1996 he completed a doctoral degree at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome . From 1997 to 2000 he worked at the seminary in Peramiho .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on October 23, 2000 as the first bishop of the newly founded diocese of Mpanda. The Archbishop of Dar es Salaam , Polycarp Cardinal Pengo , donated him episcopal ordination on January 14, 2001 ; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Luigi Pezzuto , Apostolic Nuncio in Tanzania, and Mario Mgulunde , Archbishop of Tabora . He was a member of the Association of Bishops' Conferences of East Africa (AMECEA)

He died surprisingly in office at the Bugando Referral Hospital in Mwanza.
