The Windsor Bulldogs were a Canadian ice hockey team based in Windsor , Ontario . The team played between 1926 and 1936 in the Canadian Professional Hockey League and the International Hockey League .
history
The franchise was founded in 1926 under the name Windsor Hornets as a member of the Canadian Professional Hockey League . In this, the team won the championship title in the 1928/29 season. After the league was subsequently replaced by the International Hockey League , the Bulldogs, as the team was called from 1928, also competed in the IHL and won their championship title in the 1930/31 season. The IHL stopped playing in 1936. Then the Windsor Bulldogs were also disbanded.
A team of the same name played between 1953 and 1964 in the International Hockey League, among others .
