Vilnius Voivodeship

The Vilnius Voivodeship (Latin Palatinatus Vilnensis , modern Lithuanian Vilniaus vaivadija , Polish województwo Wilenski ) was an administrative area from 1413 in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania , around its capital Wilna (Lithuanian Vilnius ). and from 1569 to 1795 in Poland-Lithuania . The first leader ( voivode ) was Albertas Vaitiekus Manvydas . The voivodeship was divided into the districts ( powiate ) and represented by delegates in the senate. It was dissolved in 1795.
