Wojciech Skibicki (born May 23, 1970 in Skrwilno , Poland ) is a Polish clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Elbląg .

Life

Wojciech Skibicki received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Elbląg on June 10, 1995 .

After ordination he was chaplain in Elbląg for a year and then from 1996 to 1997 personal secretary of the Bishop of Elbląg, Andrzej Śliwiński . From 1997 to 2003 he studied at the Catholic University of Lublin and was in liturgy to Dr. theol. PhD . From 2003 to 2010 he was the personal secretary of the new Bishop Jan Styrna . From 2004 to 2016 he was sub-rain of the seminary ; then he headed the department for catholic education in the diocesan administration until his appointment as bishop. He was also a member of the college of consultors and the cathedral chapter and was spokesman for the diocesan curia.

On 14 February 2019 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Casae Nigrae and auxiliary bishop in Elblag. The Bishop of Elbląg, Jacek Jezierski , donated him episcopal ordination on April 6th of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio , and the Archbishop of Warmia , Józef Górzyński .
