Wolferode is a district of Stadtallendorf in the central Hessian district of Marburg-Biedenkopf .
Geographical location
The place is north of the main town in the West Hessian Depression . Landesstraße 3071 runs through the village. Local public transport is ensured by a city bus connection to Stadtallendorf.
history
The place is mentioned for the first time in 1260. The place originally belonged to the county of Ziegenhain and fell with this in 1450, after the death of Johann II , the last count of Ziegenhain, to the county of Hesse .
In 1909 the Protestant half-timbered church was built; it belongs to the parish of Josbach .
In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , Wolferode came to the city of Allendorf, district of Marburg (at that time the official name of the city) by virtue of state law .
There is a village community center in Wolferode . The village square was rebuilt in 1979.
On May 12, 2011 Wolferode was drawn in the Hessenschau as Dolles Dorf , on May 14, 2011 the film was shown in the Hessenschau.
