Wolfgang Dessecker (born August 18, 1911 in Stuttgart , † March 26, 1973 there ) was a German educator , athlete and Olympic participant.

Life

In the 1930s he was successful in the 800-meter run . At the European Championships in 1934 he was third with 1: 52.2 min. At the Olympic Games in 1936 , he finished fifth in the intermediate run with 1: 55.3 min and was unable to qualify for the final. Dessecker, who belonged to the Stuttgarter Kickers sports club , won three gold medals at the International University Games , a forerunner of the Universiade .

After his sports career he worked as a Waldorf teacher .
