Woodville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Leon County in the US state of Florida with 2978 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Woodville is about 10 km south of Tallahassee . The CDP is accessed from 363 Florida State Road and Tallahassee-St. Crosses Marks Historic Railroad State Trail .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 2978 inhabitants were distributed over 1396 households. The population density was 179.4 inh / km². 75.4% of the population identified themselves as whites , 19.7% as African American , 0.4% as Indians and 0.4% as Asian Americans . 1.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.9% to several ethnic groups. 3.3% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010, children under the age of 18 lived in 29.3% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 24.9% of all households. 68.1% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.46 people and the average family size was 2.94 people.

24.3% of the population were younger than 20 years, 22.4% were 20 to 39 years old, 32.4% were 40 to 59 years old, and 20.7% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 43 years. 49.5% of the population were male and 50.5% were female.

The median annual income was $ 45,297, with 23.7% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.
