Xiromero ( Greek Ξηρόμερο ( n. Sg. )) Has been a municipality in the Greek region of western Greece since 2011 . It is named after the former province of Xiromero ( Επαρχία Ξηρομέρου Eparchía Xiromérou ). The administrative center of the municipality is the small town of Astakos . The area of ​​the municipality is 590.113 km².

Administrative division

The municipality Xiromero was formed after the administrative reform in 2010 from the merger of the municipalities Astakos , Alyzia and Fities , founded in 1997 . The community is divided into 3 districts, which correspond to the former communities. These are made up of the Astakos district and 18 local communities.
