In the Frankfurter Rundschau , Martin Oehlen praised how cleverly arranged and closely observed Federer captures the development and alienation of some friends in Breisgau . In an article for literaturkritik.de , Sascha Seiler said: “The special highlight of the novel [...] is the art of condensation, which Federer has mastered in a playful way: in their accumulation and rapid succession, the events often seem bizarre, exaggerated and not very credible . However, if you add the time between the episodes, all the secrecy [...], you quickly notice that you are only confronted with parts of a life that were formative and groundbreaking. "
At the invitation of Hildegard Elisabeth Keller , Yannic Han Biao Federer took part in the 43rd Days of German-Language Literature in Klagenfurt in 2019 and read his text I don't know . As part of the competition, he was awarded the 3sat prize.
