The Ykkönen 2015 was the 22nd season of the second highest Finnish football league under this name and the 83rd season in total since the official introduction of such in 1930. It began on May 2, 2015 with the first game day and was on October 17, 2015 with ended on the last day of the game. As a relegated from the Veikkausliiga 2014 , Turku PS from Turku took part. The forcibly relegated clubs, Myllykosken Pallo -47 and FC Honka Espoo , did not receive a license to participate. That is why there were four newcomers from Kakkonen 2014 : Ekenäs IF from Ekenäs , PS Kemi Kings from Kemi , as well as Mikkelin Palloilijat from Mikkeli and Vasa IFK from Vaasa .
