Yoshio Yoshida
Yoshio Yoshida ( Japanese 吉田 義 生 , Yoshida Yoshio ; born December 7, 1940 in Tokyo Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese - German graphic artist , draftsman and painter .
life and work
Yoshio Yoshida was born in Tokyo in 1940. From 1956 to 1959 he studied at the Tōkyō Geijutsu Daigaku in Tokyo. Emigrated to France, he studied from 1969 to 1970 at the Académie Julian and then for a year at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris in Paris. Yoshida stayed in Munich from 1972 to 1977 and began to exhibit in German-speaking countries. Since 1977 he has lived in Heiligenhaus with his wife, the artist Yoshiko Soga-Yoshida , with whom he has two children . He is a member of the Düsseldorf Artists Association and his studio is located in the Düsseldorf Artists Atelier House . He has been honored with numerous art prizes.

In 1976 he designed the large mural in the Japanese press center in Tokyo. In 1986 he created the church windows for the community center in Heiligenhaus-Oberilp. The picture cycle for Mozart's Requiem was created from 1990 to 1991 and a collaboration with Josef A. Waggin and the Chor 73 eV Ratingen began.
