Yves Loday (born September 27, 1955 in Guérande ) is a former French sailor .
successes
Yves Loday took part twice in the Olympic Games in the boat class Tornado . 1984 in Los Angeles he finished eighth with Bernard Pichery . Eight years later in Barcelona he sailed with Nicolas Hénard . With a second place in the final seventh race, the two moved up to first place in the overall standings and overtook the US and Australian crews, making them Olympic champions . In 1981 and 1983 he won the bronze medal in the Tornado at world championships . In 1992 he became European champion.
Loday designed the Extreme 40 catamaran class .
