José Luis Ballester Tuliesa (born August 17, 1968 in Vinaròs ) is a former Spanish sailor .
successes
José Luis Ballester took part in three Olympic Games in the boat class Tornado . In 1992 he did not get past twelfth place in the regatta in Barcelona with Carlos Santacreu . Four years later , he took first place in Atlanta , after he and Fernando León always came in nine of the eleven races among the top five boats and three times finished second. They were Olympic champions with 30 points ahead of the Australian and Brazilian boats . The 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney ended Ballester and León in ninth place. Ballester and Léon secured five joint medals at world championships : in 1994 they first won the title in Båstad , before winning two silver and two bronze medals each in the following four years.
