Zeeteah Massiah was in Barbados born, but grew up in London ( England on). From 2001 she lived in Cologne , but moved back to London in 2010.

Life

When Zeeteah was five, her family emigrated to Great Britain , where she grew up and started her music career in the 1980s. One of the first tracks was a cover version of the Jackson 5 hit "We Got A Good Thing Going". Her first acting role was in the London musical "Little Shop of Horrors" (in German: " The small horror shop ").

Zeeteah worked again and again with well-known artists. One of her first tours was as a backing singer for Kim Wilde on Michael Jackson's legendary Bad Tour in 1988. A short time later, she toured the world with Tom Jones and performed with him at the MTV Music Awards.

It didn't take long for the record industry to take notice of the young singer. In the early 1990s she signed a recording deal with Union City (an offshoot of Virgin Records ), where she made several dance records. With the title "Slide On The Rhythm" she had her big breakthrough when it shot to number 1 on the American dance charts in 1993. She produced this title together with the dance project "Arizona" (the record was released under the formation: Arizona featuring Zeitia). Another single ("I Specialize In Love") was released and placed in the UK singles charts.

A short time later she signed a new record deal - this time with Virgin Records directly. Two singles came out in the mid-1990s, both of which were charted in England. At this time she also took part in the preliminary round of the British Eurovision Song Contest (1996 with the title "A Little Love"). Of 12 participants, she made it to 3rd place in the preliminary round.

From 2001 Zeeteah lived in Cologne and worked mainly in German-speaking countries as a gala singer. It was mostly booked by and for well-known companies (e.g. Coca-Cola , BMW , Porsche , T-Com ) for internal events at which it appeared as a musical highlight. She often performed her own " James Bond Show", a 45-minute program that consisted of the theme songs from various James Bond films. In 2010 she moved back to London, where she continues to play music.

She has now performed in almost every country in the world, including the USA, England, Germany, Dubai, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, India, France, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Portugal and many others.
